Hi It seems strange to me that a company would drill holes in a door as a vent that rain could run straight in. For boats they make vents of all kinds to cover a hole and allow air in and keep water out. Inboard engines need fresh air without water to breath. With water flowing down the side of the camper I would either make some kind of drip edge over the door or since not knowing the shape of your doors inside. I would find some kind of closed cell foam to fill in the space between the door and frame. It needs to be one continuous piece all the way around the door to the bottom. With the door closed and the the closed cell foam compressed it should keep it dry. I would get proper vents for air to get through the door. Hope I helped a little Bill
