Just curious because the wife and I are chomping on the bit to pull out the camper and get ready to hit it this spring..We still have another month or so I guess..woke up this morning to -8 here in southern Ohio.

I've twice made the mistake of working hard to winterize my unit only to pull it out too early in March and have a freeze break something. Granted, it's just a trailer so it's not like a house pipe crack.Still, Central Indiana can be very far below 32 well into April. These are really just big toys, you have to follow the rules if you want to keep them nice.

What camper? OH! That Camper! It's going to be a while. We're on the side of a mountain so I'll have wait until the snow melts off the ice. Then I might be able to get the tractor out of the ditch because it's half way down our 800 foot long driveway stuck in ice. We've been snowed in for a week and a half and it's not going to start to melt for 3 more days. There's an inch of ice under 4 inches of snow. I don't know how long it's going to take for us to see blacktop again. At least we have power and water. Many in Tennessee don't. The covered docks at the lake sunk and took the boats (under the roof) down with them. It's a mess! Now we'll have all that gas and oil in the lake. One day at a time.

We usually de-winterize the first week of April, sooner if weather permits. However it can still snow a couple of weeks into April. It just takes me about fifteen minutes and a gallon and a half of the pink stuff, so I don't mind to re-winterize a time or two if I need to.BTW, it snowed six inches here last night! :M

UGHHH Can't happen soon enough for me!! Mine is in the driveway, covered up, looking cold and lonesome. Dying to get in there and do some work!

I have not used my TT before May 1 yet before this year. This year we are towing it to South Carolina leaving April 3. I''ll probably get it from storage March 28. If the temps look bad, I can de-winterize after traveling the first day. It doesn't take long.

Those that store their campers..when you pulling them out!

We stored our new camper at the dealer for the winter (purchased in November 2014) and can't wait to get it home! We won't do the walk-through until May 9 and bring it home then. Our first trip is the Friday before Memorial Day through the next week.

We are starting to purchase new items for the camper like the truck mirrors, backup camera, silverware, small dish drainer, hand vac, extra spices etc. Lots more to buy but some stuff we can't get until we have it home and know depth of cabinets, length of outdoor carpet we need etc.

50s here today in upstate NY so the snow is melting quickly and making it hard to wait to get some vacation time!

I'm considering dewinterizing this Saturday. The closest to freezing that they are predicting for the next 7 days is 39.

Mine will be coming home next week. "lower Michigan" will leave it winterized just getting her loaded up and maybe camp driveway.

You have to make a reservation for next summer already....

I can't plan that far ahead, I'm very lucky to have 7 Provincial Parks within 1.5 hours of my house. I just leave on a Thursday night and take first-come sites / non-reserve sites. If I wait until Friday morning, they are all typically taken already.

Pretty sure the snow will never melt here.....Actually the dealership called and asked when we were picking it up as they have new units arriving and are out of room so wee are clearing an area in the yard that has 3 feet of snow so we can get it on the 27th.

Our traditional annual shakedown trip is next weekend and we can't wait! Off to a great lakeside site that is right here in our county about 40 minutes from the house.

I just store mine in a carport next to the house, but it is gettng hooked up this week. The kids are on spring break starting the 14th and we are heading north to Natural Falls State Park, then onward to Branson, MO. I can't wait!

I thought about this weekend. It's going to be warm enough here. But, I have to be home at 7am Saturday morning to make a reservation at a campground for next summer. Maybe the weather will hold and I can go the weekend after this. Or, maybe I'll just sneak out to that little park 5 miles from me. I would not put water in the tanks yet. I'll just use bottled water and a porta-potti in the bathroom.

Winterized early November, dewinterized Dec 23rd. Winterized again December 27th, dewinterized March 5th for a great weekend on the Oregon Coast. It is not uncommon I do this 2-3 times during the winter and doing it myself is not a big deal, if we can use it we do. This time, I'll not winterize it again, but do keep an eye on the temps when they get close to freezing. I've been known to pull it home at this time of year for a few days to run the furnace at 50 so I don't have to winterize it.

Currently re-stocking and getting everything up to snuff. Will be taking our second trip this year for Spring Break to Carrabelle, Fl. So ready!!
