No...sort of. There are three standards in currently in use in North America for DC fast charging. (Everyone uses the same standard for L2 and L1 AC charging). The three standards are
CCS: Most non Tesla EV’s that don’t come from Japan.
Chademo: Japanese EV’s.
Tesla: Tesla only. To note, Tesla owners can buy adapters to use either of the above.
Most non Tesla fast chargers have CCS and Chademo connectors, and now some also have Tesla connectors. Many feel that Chademo will fade away over the next decade although China is a big user of a form of Chademo.
