Start looking for a airport type shuttle van. You can usually get them at a fairly low price once they have about 200,000 miles on them. I saw one on Craigslist.com in Portland OR area for about $6,000 - but I think it was a gas version. Check truck trader and search for Diesel and vans. They should show up.
If it has a handicap lift, great, they can sell for around $2,000 used, and recoop most of what you will have in the van.
