Thoughts on Goodyear Wrangler Adventure A/T tires

I used the GY Wrangler Adveturer A/Ts one time...and that was enough. Always kept them balanced/rotated/properly inflated. First 20K to 30K, they were great. The next 10K to 15K, they were about the worse thing I'd ever experienced in a tire. They had a major problem with hydroplaning, which is ultimately why I got rid of them before they ever got to 50K.

I need tires to get me 70K miles (approx), which I've consitently done with Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts.

The Duratracs kept me going in places where I would have needed a tow with the BFGs. They were very good on pavement as well although not as good as other ATs that are made for more street use, but it was not a major difference. I would definitely recommend them.

The Authority seems to be made exclusively for Walmart. That, in and of itself, would be enough for me to get the Duratracs.

I tried the GY Wrangler Kevlar and before 30 days were up, I used the 30 day ride guarantee and had them replaced with Michelin LTX M/S2. Michelin is a much smoother ride on my dually.

Glad they're working out for you. I have 20k on my tires, a good portion of that is towing at or near max GVWR.

Besides the obvious performance advantages in winter weather, these tires are great in heavy rain. I've driven through some serious squalls with virtually zero hydroplaning.

We recently took a road trip to Lincoln, NE without towing anything. Each way it was 770 miles, and we did it each way in 10 hours flat. The tires were flawless right up to a GPS-confirmed 100 MPH. Awesome tires.

Sorry for dredging up an old thread but I wanted to give some feedback on my purchase of the Goodyear Duratrac I purchased. After 10,000 miles I am extremely happy with these tires. I do an amazing amount of winter driving and these tires might be the best I have ever had. They are so sure-footed that I sometimes had to check myself because I was driving too fast. they are an aggressive tire but the highway noise is minimal and the wear, or lack of, is impressive. These tires also handle tow loads real good as well. Thank you for the recommendation!

They look very blocky, like snow tires, but they ride beautifully with only a mild thrum. My first set on my half-ton was hard to get balanced well, but the second set for my 3/4-ton (same exact tire) balanced very well and the ride is as smooth as a billiard table.

Excellent news - I drive about an hour each way to work and need an aggressive tire for winter driving but don't want something that isn't comfortable in the summer or dry pavement.
