I have been there and done that on the $1 LEDS from China. I had 6 on for 24/7 for about five days. Three started burning out within two days, all were dead within two weeks. The scary part was they got so hot, they discolored the light fixtures. The problem is when they say 12 volt, they mean just that. They have no voltage regulator built in. The typical RV/TC charging system, charger, truck or solar charges as high as 14.8 volts. Typically the charger floats at 13.6 volts. So, that means the 12 volt LEDs will quickly burn out.
I have really experimented with different L.E.D.s. While most will work in RVs, if they do not have a regulator built in, they will be short life and may cause a fire. I have learned a simple lesson. If the L.E.D. does not state 9 to 30 volt, do not buy it. The 9 to 30 volt L.E.D.s have a builtin voltage regulator.
