Tie downs?
Can someone explain why I see some trucks with tie downs mounted directly to the frame and others to the bumper and behind the cab? I'm not sure if it is just preference or the what kind of camper/ t...

As flimsy (light weight) as truck bumpers are these days, I'd never consider it as an appropriate mounting mount for a camper tie-down. I see truck going down the road, and the bumper has a "twist" in it from using it as a tie-down point for a camper.
