Tie Downs

I guess I should have mentioned that my Fast Guns are also stainless steel. They are powered coated and it is nice finish and easy to clean. It looks to be a very durable finish.

Location and situation increased the probability of what you experienced.

My TC stays at my house. My Fastguns hang unlocked on the side of my TC when in storage. My door to my TC stays unlocked.

Maybe it is the bullet holes in the targets on display that keep people from stealing from me. Or maybe they were contemplating their Fastgun theft when they heard the rapid fire of the AR-15 or 9MM Beretta.

Still, my question is, how many people have had their Fastguns or Derringers stolen? While camping? While parked at a store such as a Wal-Mart? Etc.?

There is someone lurking out there just waiting to catch my TC somewhere so they can steal my Fastguns and make a true believer out of Jumbojet!

We just upgraded to a 2013 Arctic Fox 1140DB from a 2000 Lance 1140 and had the fastguns included in the package. What an improvement over the old school turn buckles! The locks were a no-brainer because of the replacement cost of the tie downs.

Just got the new camper a couple weeks ago (maiden voyage to Ocean Shores this weekend) so haven't unloaded and reloaded it yet as the Lance is currently occupying my RV shed, but it's got to be a huge improvement over the turn buckles.

the locks are definitely worth the cost. They are built right and will last.

I bought my torklifts from Adventure RV. $379.99 for a set of 4. Price includes either long or short torklifts AND they are stainless steel, not the painted ones.

go ahead and spring for the torklift locks that come for these. They're worth it, they look great, and unobtrusive, and have rubber dust caps so the keyholes don't get all gunked up.

I hear you, I waited for 3 years before buying my fastguns, the local RV dealer figured he needed 700$ with taxes for a set. I ended up buying a set from Tweedys RV parts over the internet, I had them delivered to a shipping address (business called Ship Happens) just a across the border in Washington, total cost ended up 320$. Nice units for that price.

Fast guns include spring cushions inside that the camper manufacturers require. With a solid mounting you are more likely to tear the mounts off the camper.
