Bandit here what is the diff between timbres and sumo super springs.
The Sumos are a dense kind of foam material like the originals. But, they are bigger and longer. The Timbrens are solid rubber with a big hole down the middle. The Sumos are about $50 bucks a set cheaper. The install procedure is the same for both. When I was looking I wasn't so much concerned about the price difference as I was about the on-line reviews. Sumo seemed to get better reviews. The first side took about 20 minutes to do. The second side took about five. Money well spent I'd say. - Grit_dogTrailblazer

I'll soon be carrying a Lance 1172 on our 16' F350 Dually. I've installed Hellwig Air Bags to assist in
maintaining the Lt or Rt sag. I'm really undecided when it comes to keeping my loaded weight level.
Like many of us, I'm continually reading so many positive comments when it comes to the Upper and/or Lower Stable Loads.
With them, I'm not a fan of the Unloaded Ride Quality using the Upper Stable Loads, or Laying on my Back Re-Adjusting the Lowers.
Do you believe Timbrens along with the Air Bags will be able to maintain a Level Load and still allow the Factory Overloads to do there Job supporting the campers weight ?
IMO, it's one or the other in your case. - falconbrotherExplorer III installed the Sumo SuperSprings and they are great so far. The install was pretty easy. I recommend them.

Well I don't know what I did wrong, but I hated the Timbrens. With the trailer hooked up the ride was awful. You could feel every single bump in the road as if I was riding in a wagon. Took them off and went with the Helwig Pro Series Helper Spring. Night and day difference. I love them
If using a product like the Timbrens or Torklift upper StableLoads, you need to set the height correctly for your vehicle and load. If the axle or spring are slapping up against these during use, it will give you a very bad ride. The idea is that they are not engaged when the vehicle is unloaded and there is sufficient gap for normal unloaded suspension travel. Once the vehicle is loaded, they should be engaged and stay engaged with normal loaded suspension travel. This requires a little trial and error to adjust for your application and may mean cutting back the surface of the product if it is too tall or adding spacers if it is too short. - falconbrotherExplorer III ordered the Sumo Super Springs yesterday. We'll see how they work out.

- ggadwaExplorerI've used Firestone Air Bags on previous two trucks and was never happy with always airing up and then airing down. On my latest F350 I decided to give the Timbrens a try and 48K miles later I could not be happier. They are hassle free and do not affect unloaded truck. They carry the weight of the Eagle Cap 950 slide in Camper beautifully.
