- TravlingmanExplorer IIIt depends on what you are ordering and the options you want. The more bells and whistles you order the longer it will take. Some options you can't even order. Today was the last day you could order a Ford Superduty and a few weeks ago they cut the options available. Last I heard it will be July 1 before you can place an order for a Superduty. I was told 2 months ago to plan on a year for a loaded F450.
- KD4UPLExplorerI ordered a 2022 GMC 3500 on February 3rd. I asked the sales guy when it might get here. He literally laughed at me. I asked for a vague idea like 1 month, 4 months, etc. He just laughed again. "No idea." He said. Then he said "You're order did actually go in because you didn't want anything that isn't available right now. you're ahead of 5 other buyers who want options I can't currently order." One of those options was the 6.6L gas engine. Some others involved running boards or something.
They had actually ordered a new truck for me in early 2020 but it never got built. I never got a straight answer why but I think that was when the manufacturers got shut down and were forced to build ventilators instead of automobiles. - Grit_dogNavigatorWelp, it’s not new news that vehicles are in short supply….
All you’ll receive is anecdotal responses though.
If you’re a order your car, like new from dealers and think “your dealer” is “your dealer” then you’re limiting yourself to the most complicated way to get some new or newer wheels.
