I would like to mount a full length mirror on the outside of our bathroom door, but since the door is hollow I want to make sure to do it right. What is the best method for getting this done and making sure it stays put?

Liquid Nails for Mirrors....Home Depot, Lowes.

I read two reviews for the Liquid Nails for Mirrors product and it basically got an F. Two reviews...both said it didn't work and one guy insisted he followed the instructions to the letter. The other said it required additional clips and supports. So, I guess I want to know the best way to install those clips on a hollow core door.

I would be somewhat hesitant to mount a full length mirror simply because of the flexing and bumping/bouncing of the trailer in transit. Some of the FR units mounted a 1/2 size mirror outside the bathroom door and apparently with no problem. You could contact FR and ask for some tech support. OR.....you could use both the Liquid Nails for Mirrors + the plastic mirror clips with plastic anchors for extra support. Before you jump, remember that this is most likely a forever mod....assuming it stays where you want it. if things don't work out, you'll be in the market for a new door.

Ditto on NOT mounting it on the door. I've seen friends mirrors shattered in an RV, not pretty.My MH came with the full length mirror mounted on the wall....and it's still hanging in one piece!

I installed a thin full-length mirror on a TT bathroom door with 'industrial strength' Velcro. It held great but I understand there is a very slight risk that exposure to excessive heat over time might cause the Velcro to deteriorate. It was fine for the years we owned it.

Haha...

They have those decorative flower type "washers" or you can use it to mount a wooden bar of hangers on the inside (with wooden plugs over the holes.

I wasn't implying a 3" bare bolt with giant silver washer and nut! ;)

I used the mirror clips on mine. Two years and it is in fine condition.
I just put the screws that came with the clips into the hollow door. I figure if there is a problem I can always go back with some sort of anchors.

Mmmmmm and if the bolts were long enough you could use them to hang a robe or towel on them. Would look pretty on a $$$$K motorhome. NOT mine...

Re Mirror Tiles - each one is 12" x 12". I used 8 (side by side and down), but 10 or 12 will work as well.

The most secure method would be to replace the screw in the clip with a through bolt that has a (decent color/fiber/etc) washer on the inside of the door.

Liquid nails if you like for good measure.

I mounted a mirror on the bathroom door in our 5'er. Used some mirror glue. Looks like It's a lighter mirror but full length. Home Depot has a mirror department near the cabinet section and has several mirror adhesives to choose from.

Lot of time problem with liquid nails is that folks don't let it "Tack Up" prior to mounting and it takes a lot longer to dry resulting in the mirror sliding down or not staying in place. After tacking up, if necessary a piece of duct tape overnight usually results in a good seal.

I installed a full length mirror on our bathroom door.
Used plenty of liquid nails Mirror adhesive AND clear plastic screw in clips.
2.5 years and still holding strong.
