Now boondocking?
That's an entirely different matter. That's the best camping of all.
A summer on the Uncompahgre Plateau, or a winter on a Texas Gulf Coast beach, or springtime in the desert; that's why I live in a camper.
Power and water can be an issue, but there are two ways to have enough.
One is to get more, the other is to use less. I tend toward the latter. If ambient temps are between 45-50 and 80-85, I don't need climate control.
Navy showers, and not daily, depending on temps and exertion level. Being a little bit dirty is not a sin. Rubbing alcohol is your friend.
A frugal mindset is a good thing all the time, regardless of available resources, but it' s a necessity when boondocking.
And it pays off in more time in camp; less time running to town.
