Tips how to sell TT

Selling our TT Privately to up grade possibly.
Tips on my pics will be helpful if you will share thanks.

Also at our campground I saw TT unit that
look like it had slides straight across from each other.
I think I’d like a large open area. Anyone know who makes
a unit like that. ThankS

just sold mine in the spring. Facebook marketplace DOMINATED the flood of responses I got. Make sure you join as many local buy and sell groups as possible. a for sale sign on a well traveled road doesn't hurt either. 10:1 ratio against all others (kijiji and craigslist) for marketplace though.

Not sure about towing capacities can you tell on your unit
what the weight is of your tt
  • Clean, stage, GOOD pictures (not fuzzy out of focus or dark) and PRICE IT LESS THAN YOU THINK!

Pricing correctly requires that you take a huge step back and take into consideration that would YOU be willing to pay the price you are asking.

Many people get emotionally (sentimental) attached to their items they are trying to sell and tend to way over price the item. Buyers are not buying YOUR emotional attachment and will not be willing to pay for YOUR sentimental value..
  • Clean it completely and stage it. Then take a couple of dozen pics of Everything from every angle. Then detail its history with everything you know or can remember about it.

We listed on CL with 24 pics and everything I knew about it. Sold it to first responder the next day and had a disappointed #2 responder who badly wanted to buy it. I had priced it as a good/fair deal for both parties.

When I posted to CL, I emailed everyone I knew locally and told them what my bottom $ was and that they or anyone they knew could have it for that by asking. I always add about 10% to asking price because its seems that some folks get all pissy if you wont bargain with them. I then immediately tell normal people how I am pricing and my bottom $ when they ask.
  • ^ this. I saw several ads that I didn't go see just because the camper wasn't orderly. The way I see it, if you cant be bothered to clean up to sell chances are you cant be bothered to do proper preventative maintenance
  • I have had great success with a local consignment lot. It is on a main road and costs a flat fee of $150. I have sold my last two RVs there within 3 days and got my price both times.
  • When you take pics to post in your ad make sure your camper is cleaned up. I've seen pics of units for sale with dishes in the sink, boxes of cereal on the counter, clothes laying on the bed, etc.

Facebook Market place and Craigslist are the places to start.

As for the floor plan look for Bunkhouses. Keystone Sprinter is one. KZ Sportsman is another.

Just bought a Sprinter. Love it. Double slide out provides an 8 x 14 private apt. Foldout queen couch, Fold down Dinette. Two fold up upper bunks. Lots of atorage accross the back wall.

Pretty much every manufacturer offers a floor plan with opposing slides...
