They just don't look like anything I would be interested in.
I might just not be open to new ideas.
I just ordered a set of these V-bar chains that I doubt I will ever use.
If I ever do need them I'll be in some pretty nasty stuff so I'd rather have a set if nice good old fashion tire chains.
Never say never..I was hunting way back on the Magruder road/trail,a corridor between the Frank Church and Selway wildernesses in Idaho,in my new 2008 Ford 4X4..It started snowing hard, so knowing that road we turned around immediately..Everything was fine in 4X4 until we reached the summit of just one of the grades..It was so slick I had a hard time keeping the 4X4 on the very narrow trail/road..
I put the V-Bar chains on the rear for going down the incline and everything was fine..I doubt we would have made it back down that trail/road without damaging my new truck without the chains..Snow on top of ice isn't the best platform for a pickup..
I am very glad I had those chains in my 4X4 pickup...My opinion on chains is,get the heaviest duty V-Bar chains that fit..
