Industry standard hovers around 10 years.. Continental, Yokohoma, Michelin, Bridgestone-Firestone, etc. Some vehicle manufactures suggest 6.

But, it's not an absolute......They can last a lot, lot longer, or... I'd be careful making assumptions from my couch about how someone else comes to their determination.
