You didn't say how many miles are on these tires or the current tread depth....
Bite the bullet and replace them all ASAP, you're not going to save anything by waiting a few months, might actually cost more than you're willing to lose! Good luck in any event.
Goodyear Wranglers were installed 7/3/2006. That is 48,322 miles ago on tires rated for a 60k service life. I would say the tire wear is pretty accurate relative to the expectation - about 1/4 of the tread is remaining.
You may have misunderstood my 2nd question. Should I look to replace all four tires now - during vacation with around 700 miles of road trip to go, or should I wait until I get back - next week? Yes, I intend to replace all four. I looked at the spare. It still has the little nubs on it from manufacture. If it has been run, it hasn't been much. It has a load rating stamped on it of 2700 lbs, which will be fine on the front where it is at.

9 year old tires aren't due for replacement? Truck Campers must have a different standard for tire life.
The truck lives in a heated shop when not in use. So the tires are not sitting out baking in the sun every day getting UV exposure which causes tire rot. It is not a daily driver, and it is used for its intended purpose - hauling. Whether that is the camper, a load of firewood, or helping a friend move. There are no cracks in the sidewalls which are common with aged tires.

Les Schwab all the way, can't beat their service!
My experiences with them have made me realize that I had better stear clear of them altogether.
Quality, Service, Price. Choose any two out of the three. Les Schwab has the quality and service nailed. I prefer to swap price for service. I typically bring my wheels in to a tire shop loose, cleaned, and with the old weights removed. I do not have a need for the stellar service that Les Schwab provides, and I would rather invest that savings in a spare lug wrench (done!). :) Plus, if memory serves me correctly, Les Schwab doesn't carry a tire with the load rating that the Goodyear Wranglers have.
Any help with my primary question?

Question #1 for the forum....
I have Goodyear Wranglers 265/75R16's on the truck. ... Are these still the best, or are there better ones out there in 2015?
Thanks,
-Eric
