As usual I'm late to a thread but I'll say there's a lot of worry over what I see as inconsequential numbers on decals. Yes the max loaded on the tire itself "should" be the number followed but I'll also say that my family and I have come close to death twice from blow-outs at that exact number. I always have a compressor plus tank of CO2 and check tire pressure coming, going and in between. Both times were Michelins and both times my claims were disallowed as being under pressured. Absolute piggy hogwash. Fact is tire pressure like all things in life is a crapshoot, fate, whatever you want to call it. I say get it within 10 pounds and go camping...
Also, if the volume is the same the pressure is the same. If you put 80 lbs in airbags before putting the camper on you'll still have 80 lbs of pressure after. Same with tires.
