I have a 2015 Coachman TT and I "accidentally" found a problem with one of my tires. I will pay a lot more attention to them now. I always keep them at 50lbs and the TT is stored under a carport and shielded from the weather when not in use. I discovered the right rear tire had worn excessively on the outer edge. We were on a trip so I changed the tire. When rolling it to put it away, I noticed the tire was separating within the tread and had a "gouge" on the outside edge. The set of tires are the ones that were on the TT when I bought it and none of the other ones "appear" to have any flaws at this point. I think I would replace all the tires. As for the one wearing excessively on one edge, I would think that the tire/wheel is at a slight angle (toe out?). I would have it inspected by some one in an alignment shop.Also, you have a Coachmen..not a Coachman.:D

Thanks for the reply. I will take it to an alignment shop tomorrow. I am considering replacing all of them, but finding a consensus as to what tires are best is a chore!!

I have a Coachman as well and same problem. The problem is that they use a too small axle on their trailers. If its single axle like mine I had to replace the axle . Somehow the factory axle lost its camber.Probably due to overloading. The axle is rated at 3500 lbs and the **** trailer is like 3300 lbs dry. After adding some water and stuff you are exceeding the axle and you will wear on the inside.

Mine is a tandem axle and the tire was worn on the outside edge. The separating tread is a major concern as well. Just trying to get some ideas on why only one tire is doing this. Of course I'm checking the others as well. Thanks for the response.

phillyg, that would make sense. I'm looking at the Maxxis and the GY Endurance. I'm replacing all 4, might not need to, but I want peace of mind when towing something that big.

It may not be alignment. Rather, the tread started seperating and quickly wore down the high side. Get alignment checked and take a look at the new GY Endurance tire that comes in 14" sizes.

Had the same problem on my White Hawk last year. Not sure what caused it. Put a set of the new Carlilse H/Ds on. Have over 5,000 on them an no problems so far. Please let us know if an alignment issue. Cheers.....

I take it they are 'C' rated tires......50PSI max psi

Trailer tires get abused....curb hopping, potholes, twisting motion/lateral forces when maneuvering, etc

Belts separate.
Alignment, bent spindle, BAD tire

Replace and be glad YOU found it vs blow out & damage

Also the cut shown in the 3 picture looks to be caused by hitting something.
Yes, replace all 4.

Replacement choices. I'd look at Maxxis 8008's or the new U.S. made Goodyear Endurance tires. (these look promising as far as ST tires go...)

do some basic checks maybe. Take the trailer out on an parking lot and setup so that you have run straight for a bit. Get a straight piece of wood / angle iron / whatever, long enough to straddle the two tire. check and see what kind of "gapping" there might be between the "straight edge" and your tires. It might give you a clue to where things are. Compare with the other side of tires. You can go from there. There are other checks that you can do also but that's one to get started.
