LT tires were more of a consideration when ST tires were speed rated at 65 mph.The Endurance is speed rated at 87 mph. ST tires made in China are notorious for reliability issues. GY Endurance tires are made in the U.S. My experience with LT tires is that they do not weather well. The tread usually wears out on a truck before that's an issue. LT tires on my TT tended to develop sidewall cracks. ST tires have compounds that resist weathering. When I purchased the Endurance tires I felt the sidewalls of the LT tires that I were being taken off and the ST tires being mounted. The difference is significant. If you've ever looked at the offset of your TT axles in a tight turn you can see the side load the tire has to withstand. The heavier sidewall is important.Tread depth should not be significant under most conditions. Less tread depth might produce less squirm meaning more stability. After production of almost all ST tires moved to China, I went to LT tires for speed rating and manufacturing quality. I think the Endurance addresses those issues and has the advantages of an ST tire.
