My question is, if raising truck and suspension 3", why only go half an inch in tire diameter? Maybe if wider a bunch, you may need the lift for tire clearance turning.....
With that said...I've run 8 ply tires with the same capacity of 10 ply stock ones, inch more diameter and width. I had no issues towing, other than my 4.10 in on rig, 3.73 in another, went to a 3.95 & 3.55 effectively. The 3.73 rig with a TH400 3 so auto was hurt the most from a take off standpoint. The 4.10 rig with a NV4500 manual, actually made all the gears usable. Where as before larger tires, 1st was so low to not be needed except steep grade take offs, IE over 15-20% grades.
Also with that said. I would prefer a tire with 3400-3500 min capacity, even with weights shown. Just me! :-)
