Tires- What we all already knew!

That's why I don't own a Corvette-the trunks too small! :)

I think there was an issue with their rollover tests one time too.

I try my best to NOT buy anything made in China...tires, dog food, kids toys etc.
List is very long.

You probably don't buy much. This is VERY HARD to do.

I used to be a fan of Consumer Reports but there are so many flaws and mistakes in how they test things that they just don't deserve much respect.
The problem is the make themselves out to be "experts" in every field they delve into and they're the farthest thing from it.

Good point Scott. It would seem hard to be an expert on irons, toasters, Televisions, pickup trucks, and TIRES.

Is this a news subject or what? OBTW the desert in S Cali is hot in September.
Cheap tires don't like heat much.

I would also note that the very highly regarded Michelin XPS Rib does NOT claim a Nylon overlay while the Bridgestone Duravis R250 does.

So hanging one's hat on the Nylon overlay may be misdirected!

Chris-with all due respect we all know your on a one man campaign to discredit ST tires. Thank you for your contribution. While the jury may still be out on the Marathon-there has been a marked improvement by adding this overlay with other manufacturers.
