Having previously owned the very same vehicle as the original poster here (OP) the answer is no.
The duals will rub. Had a friend in Texas who bought a 2003 Chevy dually, identical to mine, to do some hot shot trucking.
Looking it over just after he brought it home, noticed that the vehicle had 235/85/R16's on it instead of the factory 215/85/R16's.
Without any load in the box, they were rubbing against each other.
Now, one can get a spacer, then go larger. But in standard factory form, no, not without rubbing the duals.
