Got a flat from a puncture on my Kevlar Goodyear Wranglers. On I-405. In Renton, WA. In traffic. Not fun. Never did figure out what caused the damage.
That said... I had another 5k on those tires before they were due. I was going to do that camping trip and then replace them all. So I simply expedited the replacement in the middle of the trip. I stayed with the Goodyear Wranglers. Not so much because I was sold on the Kevlar, but because they had the highest weight rating I could find. IIRC, it wasn't by much, 50-100lbs more, but they were the best I could buy so they went back on.
