"ST" is a designation used by the Tire & Rim Association, a US organization that publishes dimensional standards and the Load Inflation . The largest ST type tire shown in the TRA yearbook is an ST235/85R16 so I think you may have confused "Truck-Bus" type tires with Special Trailer type tires.
