Interesting request... My BIL was faced with the same recommendation with his 09 RAM cummins, and he decided to just unload the truck. Loosing your warranty is a big risk and then using a tuner to work around the delete usually adds more power to a engine that already has marginal head gasket sealing. Once you start this process your truck could become a big money pit. Also like stated above if you ever want to trade the truck in most if not all dealerships won't tough it. If you sell it you better disclose that it has or had a tuner.
I would recommend "not to delete". If the reason for deleting is because your having emission related problems, then I would unload the truck and move on.
There is nothing "marginal" about the Cummins head gasket. Nothing.
Yup beat to the punch twice!! Lol
Gotta admit Scott if you want real head gaskets get a Powder smoke. 6 liters are the best!
Not after you invest $7,000 or so to make it "bullet proof". LOL
But in all fairness to the Fishman he knows a guy that knows this guy the talked to that guy that said a Ford guy said he talked to a Chevy guy that heard from a guy that thinks he talked to a guy that said all Rams are junk. Or something like that, maybe there was a dog or two involved somewhere also.
OP god call on keeping it stock and BTW you used to be able to remove it yourself not sure if that loophole is still open or not though.
