Garmin Montana 600T - How to delete "Active" files

I downloaded some tracks from my Garmin 60CSx onto the 600T. Those tracks included some "Active" files. I can't figure out how to delete them. Highlighting them and selecting "DELETE" doesn't do anything. Also, I downloaded a file called "Start" that I can not delete.

I don't download any more 60CSx files until I delete the "Active" track before downloading.

What other words besides "Start" and "Active" will get me in this jam? The Owners Manual doesn't address this issue.

Thanks,
LeRoy

Google Garmin forums. You should be able to find an answer.

I have done that extensively and have not found anything. I was hoping for some real ideas so I could work off of them.

    Thank you,

  • Not a Garmin guru, but I have had my share of them. The active file may be the current track. When you turn the unit on it begins a track, even adding to the last track. This is automatic. There will always be an active track. Even if you USB connect it to a computer and delete the active track, the next time you turn it on it creates one again.

The Start file is probably a waypoint, either user created or uploaded from the other device. Go into your waypoints list, find it and delete it.

    Hope that helps.
