I think people are a little confused. Deletes and tunes are two different things. Deleting the emissions basically means working around the EGR and DPF/DEF, and it requires a tuner to cancel out the error codes that flash when those systems are disabled. Tuning is when you adjust for more power and/or mess around with the transmission behavior. You can delete emissions and not tune for more than stock power. This is something I would consider but my county has emissions testing, so I don't think it's worth the hassle of returning it to stock every two years. Plus these newer emissions systems on the Cummins seem to work pretty well with few issues. In the early days of diesel emissions systems when they hadn't figured things out yet, there were huge benefits to deleting. Now that isn't really the case.
