I'm thinking.... ONLY in the thinking stage right now, of a new 2016 F-450 or F-550. They're awfully proud of those things. There's nothing what so ever wrong with mine, it hauls what I have fine...

That may be the pickup tune on the CTD, but expect less in the chassis cab tune. My 2015 CTD has 325 HP and 750 ft-lbs because they expect people to actually use the engine close to its limits under longer duty cycles.
This is no different than HEMI gasoline engines - The tune in cars is way up from pickups and the chassis cabs are detuned even more than the pickups.
