To TC'ers who have bought new trucks
I'm thinking.... ONLY in the thinking stage right now, of a new 2016 F-450 or F-550. They're awfully proud of those things. There's nothing what so ever wrong with mine, it hauls what I have fine...

But really we are truck camper people. We don't need to tow and haul a 30,000 trailer. We need a high rear axle rating because we turtle carry 5-6K pounds on the flatbed or pickup box. Some of us do haul a trailer too, but my camper plus my loaded up enclosed trailer would still only total 14k pounds which is not even half the tow rating of these amazing trucks. Even a detuned chassis cab would have plenty of power for hauling any truck camper and 6-7000# trailer.
