I was impressed with the exhaust braking of the VGT in my 6.0 PSD, but the new 6.7 CTD is even better. I've never had concerns about braking on long declines with either diesel.
The chassis cabs don't have the top end trim of the pickups but get plenty of comfort options. I had a choice of bigger truck or more frills to stay within my budget - I don't know if will ever buy a truck with carpet much less power seats. What I do appreciate is the standard OEM gauges that now give more parameters. I used to use a ScanGauge II with my PSD, but found it redundant in my CTD even with just the base instrument cluster.
Ride comfort is about the same or better when loaded, but does suffer when empty. You really don't notice on good roads, but city driving or potholes will remind you that you have a Class 5 suspension under you.
