I looked at the Arvika but couldn't justify the cost!
I built one very similar to the one features in the second posting in this thread. I am VERY pleased with ours. Easy to use, and the bike rack can be removed and put on the truck.
The second receiver tube on mine is because the first one put the bike wheels just a bit close to the edges of the truck box on tight turns while backing into a site. The second tube raised the bikes a couple of inches for more clearance. Easier than rebuilding the whole thing! :)
The hardest part was finding the right tubing for the receiver tube. It's not just-run-of-the-mill tubing. Go to someplace where they build trailers and hitches for the correct material.
The photo doesn't show the gussets at all corners.
