I've purchased a new Propane/Gasoline powered Generator to replace our older one. It weights 93lbs. This time around I'd like to design a way to install it on the Tongue (somehow).
Search Google Images with the term "trailer generator mount" and you'll be rewarded with an endless list of ideas, including this
commercially available generator platform that mounts to the trailer's A-frame.
That said, I personally wouldn't want a running genset with it's noxious fumes and offensive noise anywhere near my camper, particularly any genset that isn't a "quieter" inverter style - which unfortunately you haven't indicated in your post. Even my own Honda EU2000i is IMO too noisy so I built a
Generator Quiet Box and designed it to run inside my Avalanche's enclosed cargo compartment - the
only way I could dampen the racket to a point where I personally would feel comfortable running it in a campground where others are wanting to enjoy peace and quiet just as much as I am.
