at $500 I think I would adapt the trailer tray.

That 500 (or 479) is ONLY for the bike carrier attachment - you also have to shell out 259 for the Travel Trailer Bracket it mounts to. - goingnorthExplorerThis is mine.
I fill it with scrap lumber and it offsets the weight of full water tanks, my tongue weight stays the same with full water and wood, and when the water is gone for the trip home the wood is gone as well. - LantleyNomad

That tray is very neat, but it was probably custom made. I imagine it cost $300-$400 retail. TO make it into a bike rack the cost would be close. - BumpyroadExplorer

bumpy - 69_AvionExplorerMost trailers don't over build their frames. The leverage on the rear of a trailer that wasn't made for the extra weight can cause frame issues. There are trailers that can take the extra weight, but if the tongue is already set up for a proper tongue weight and you put 75-100# or more in the back, you may have reduced your tongue weight by close to the same number. Extra tongue weight usually won't hurt you (if the TV can handle it) but low tongue weight can kill you.

That is a nice tongue rack. It is better to have the weight on the tongue instead of the back of the trailer.
IMHO that can be true in some instances, but generally it "depends" on a lot of factors. - dahkotaExplorer

Someone used to make a bike rack that could mount in the same place. I could never find one though.
I've been looking for it, too. No such luck... - Campfire_TimeExplorerSomeone used to make a bike rack that could mount in the same place. I could never find one though.
- BumpyroadExplorerHad my RV dealer price one out, a little high as I recall. but looks like a good idea. called a Trailer Tray IIRC
