Tongue weight with weight distribution hitch...

Before heading out on our first trip with our TT, we took a trip to the scales. Here are the numbers. With everything hooked up: Steer axle - 3420 lbs Drive axle - 3780 lbs Trailer axle - 4840 l...

First weigh just the truck. For example 2500 front, 3000 rear, truck weighs 5500.
Next weigh truck and trailer with no WD bars. Example 2400 front, 4100 rear, 6000 trailer axles.

In this example, truck from second weigh (2400+4100=6500) minus first weigh (5500) is your tongue weight. 1,000 lbs.
Trailer weight is tongue weight(1000)+ trailer axle (6000) = 7000
--That is all you need to measure actual tongue weight.
