That is a very sturdy hitch. From the picture it appears to be made out of 2.5 square tubing. Based on the shipping weight of 69 lbs I am almost certain it is constructed out of 5/16" wall thickness tubing. My Ford factory hitch is 3" x 1/4 wall thickness tubing. I think 3 x 1/4 is stronger than 2.5 x 5/16 square tubing. Regardless, after seeing your hitch rated at 2400 lbs I have no more concerns with my factory hitch.
