We went from a large toy hauler to a small truck camper. If it wasn't for the extended cab of the truck or our enclosed trailer, we would hard pressed to carry the things we want to take with us when traveling. We don't feel you don't have to be a minimalist to go camping.
We also keep the TC fully stocked with clothes and dry goods. Getting the TC ready for a trip means filling the water, turning on the fridge and adding fresh food.
