I have a friend who has pulled one so much he wore out two sets of tires. From Texas to Newfoundland, Florida, California, Washington state, Alaska and back several times. (Over 50,000 miles in 3 years).
He uses a Ram 3500 dually.
He and his wife love it.
Never had a problem finding space to camp in state and national parks - but did have to be somewhat selective. There are campgrounds he can't use, but a little research finds great alternatives.
