Top items to cover during walk through on new TT

On Saturday my sister will take ownership of a new TT. I would like to compile items she should make sure the RV dealer covers during her walk through. Suggestions?
Thank you. West Beachhouse

  • I have had good, bad and rushed pre-delivery inspections. Some of the non-typical items that were missed:

Verify tire pressure, all of them.
Verify there is a good battery.
    Sink covers
    TV antenna operation
Check refrigerator works on both LP and Electric.
Floors cleaned especially hard surface floors.
Operation of all remotes for electronics and for other operations such as slides, jacks, exterior lights etc.
    All thermostat functions.
    Switches, all of them.
All lights, the new halogen bulbs are pricey.
One big item that is often not done is to have the water system pressured up before getting there with the water heater on and up to temperature. Run all faucets and make sure there are no leaks and all drains operate freely. Look under the trailer carefully.
Look at all cabinet doors and drawers for damage or poor workmanship.

These are just items that have bitten me in the past. There are many more systems and functions to go over besides these.

Even the best of dealerships want to rush you, and keep telling you about the warranty. What they don't tell you is how inconvenient it is to bring it back for things that should have been covered in the PDI.

Plenty of info on this in the FAQ section, but in general, I'd be very picky about fit and finish. Get those conversations over with early. Also, make sure that anything that turns on/off actually does turn on/off.
