Made a huge improvement with bouncing down the highway, and that tipsy, top-heavy sensation in general. Helped tremendously with the lean and sway when making turns. Now, it's almost like the camper isn't there. I can zip around corners without concern. It goes to show that even an 05 F350 4X4 with overload springs isn't necessarily good enough, even with a lighter(ish) camper.
Went out of state to pick the camper up last month and only drove about 25 miles before I decided to that I needed to do something. Turned out to be $190 well spent. Unfortunately, I just pulled into the first Rv parts store I could find and bought them outright off the shelf. If you search across the net though, you should be able find upper stable loads for around $150-180.
Some people complain about the ride when the camper is off truck, that it's stiffer. Not so, at least in my case, since the overload springs aren't engaging the stableloads.
