Tork Lift tie downs suggestions

Maybe some nuclear grade nickel Never Seize. Maybe mixed with a marine grease.

You could also try filling in the extra adjustment holes or add drain holes. Perhaps, antiseize would help as well.

A chisel, that was their solution? LMFAO!! Long neck die grinder and a few beers, and a few curse words...

Thanks, lots of good ideas. A heavy pipe brush on a drill for the ID, grind off some of the wall, and POR 15 (I have used this on the Airstream-it's good stuff) some fluid film after should do the trick!
The BFH work is starting to get old...

They need a good talking to. On some of their stuff they smash the flats in to take care of this, on other stuff they tell you in the instructions to use a cold chisel to remove the flash. I don't know if they have tried this, but it is not a very successful method.

They should be using seamless receiver tube for the female tubes, not regular seamed tube. If not, they need a good talking to!

Seamless square receiver tube is available in 1-1/4", 2", 2-1/2" and 3" I.D. sizes, all with 1/4" wall thickness.

In some of their products, the problem is the welding flash left by the square tube manufacturing process. It's pretty hard to remove but in larger tubing (2" an above) you can fit a dremel tool right inside the tube with either a grinding wheel or cutoff wheel on it, and remove the flash.

I agree , take enough material off that it will slide in and out by hand even after painting ( this is a good place for POR 15 , it's very hard ). If you are using a BFH to put it in , you know you will need one to get it out .There is no need for it to fit tight , the turnbuckles will keep the tension on it . Instead of grease you might try some Fluid Film in the female end , still a little messy but not as bad as grease . If you can cap the female end between uses all the better . Good luck

Use an angle grinder with a sandpaper disc to clean up the male tube surface. You can take a little metal thickness off too. Then apply heavy grease liberally.

Just asking.. but is it possible they may have been over-stressed at some point and bent slightly off straight? I've never seen it, just asking.

I would try running a wire pipe cleaner on a drill up in there on the female side similar to what SugarHill mentioned. Like a larger version of what you'd clean a battery terminal with.
