I went to the high mileage club and filtered on 1,000,000 miles and came up with (115) 5.9 CTD and (6) 6.7 CTD.

The 5.9's with over 1,000,000 are mostly the low HP versions.

OK, how many 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstrokes have hit that milestone? ;) :B

I won't put the tried and true 7.3L in that question because it is a great engine that I've got a ton of respect for and I've read of several that have.

I've never seen any of the cummins trucks or the Power Stroke trucks with 1,000,000 miles.

I’ll take most of those claims with a grain of salt. I had one fellow, who knew at one time I was all diesel, who had a souped up 5.9 and pulled an enclosed trailer for business claiming for years that he got 20+mpg towing. He decided if I rode along one trip he would have me converted back to diesel. I rode with him to Tennessee. Unfortunately I kept a track of his fuel mileage and when we got back I calculated his real mileage he back pedaled real fast with some of the dumbest excuses. I also saw a few work orders in his glove box when he was’t around.

I figured if he was so dishonest I didn’t want to do business with him and haven’t talked to him since. Oh, he bought a Ram hemi since, I’m told, to replace his 5.9.
