It’s kinda’ funny all the bragging about what brand has this much torque.
More than that has been available for a long time from either Fords Chevys or Dodges.
Bigger injectors, bigger and/or compound turbo setups, better electronics, stronger transmission parts, head studs, etc. can be installed on any of them and you can make more power than any stock new pickup.
None of the brands are limited to what their stock numbers are and even the older ones can do it.
There is a difference, beleive me. I have both. I still love running around in my modded 2005 but it sure is nice cruisin' down the road in my 16.
Yup and a guy doesn’t have to sink thousands into a truck to make bigger numbers reliably.
I’m the first to whine about new truck prices, but comparing say an 07 diesel to a new one, I recall sticker prices in the low-mid 50s for well equipped cc, 4x4 diesels. Now that equates to mid-high 60s , leaving out the Platinum Denali Longhorn models.
So add a couple grand for inflation, couple grand for an exhaust brake, a grand for good tuning, 5 grand for a built trans, couple grand for more amenities and a couple grand for better/bigger/stronger chassis and the cost is really close.
