So sorry to hear of your accident Bill! Glad that no one was seriously injured though. Trailers and trucks can be replaced but lives cannot.
Thank you for your post also! It should make a good warning to others about towing in conditions like you faced. That is one of the reasons that I bring our trailer down to Tampa in late October, leave it here and then fly home after a week or two only to fly back with my wife right after Christmas. I did the tow down right after Christmas thing for quite a few years and always was lucky that we did not have bad conditions. A couple of times we had to wait a day or two after our planned departure though. It was always a big worry. It is worth it to us to pay for a few unused weeks in order to not have to worry about the weather and towing.
