You're not alone, I sliced open the fabric and bent up the trim on my garage backing in my TT. I also had a $500 deductible but no problem with the insurance company. They gave me a check for $180, and I paid the other $420 and had every thing repaired. We do use the awning. Got a good lesson from it. Ran my first MH into a low branch, learned a lot from that also. Still have the TT and a newer MH, I look up a lot now.
