Why is that people put blind trust in a website run by unknown individuals with unknown backgrounds and knowledge. I put my trust in the engineers at Ram, Ford, and GM, as these people are professionals making calculations based on in-house data and testing and not off the top of their heads.
What RV Tow Check did was use ALL the numbers to come up with REAL Maximums for different trailer configurations.
You have ignored the Payload limitations, which were responsible for the low numbers in most cases.
Axle ratios have no effect on THAT number.
As for 3/4 ton diesels pulling 13,500# fivers - tell me how they stay within limits (including GVWR) when their payload rating may be no more than 2000#?
