I use tow haul a lot on my 2011 Dodge and find it useful, most of the time. At other times, it can be too aggressive when it comes to shifting down on down grades. When the truck has an exhaust brake it becomes much more effective when the RPM goes up after a downshift and you can end up going much slower than you wanted. When it does, I switch tow haul off and use the ERS to control down shifts. My opinion. It's a tool and if it's doing what you want, use it, if not, switch it off and do it yourself.
