It all depends on RE ratio. Motor and transmissions will all be the same. The 6.0L GM motor is a good pulling motor, but can be thirsty. The Denali XL is all trim. Basically the same as a Cadilac Esclade. For less money and still well equipped a Chevrolet 2500 Suburban will do you just fine. That is unless you want the bling at the expense of towing capacity. Like I said before never seen a Denali 2500, so IMHO I would quit looking at that model. 1500 versions all tend to run out of capacity once you load family and stuff, so be sure to grab a 2500 version.
