Depends on how cheap that your able to get it for. Remember, if and when it breaks don't blame your relative. I think that now you can find mechanics that know how to work on this engine properly. With that being said, you can improve it by fixing the bugs. But it will cost you, so if you buy find a great shop that specializes in that engine. There is a guy in Georgia, I believe google (power stroke help) and you will find him in Buford Georgia. His website has so much info about the power stroke engines. Give that a good long read prior purchase, this way you eyes are wide open and you know what to expect and what needs to be done.
