From experience, I can tell you that the 6.0 will require time and money very soon.
Others are right - plan on putting a good $5000. into it.
So offer uncle-in-law $5K less than the killer price that he is offering you.
Otherwise, walk-away.
Here's what that engine will require sooner or later:
1) STC fitting (Snap-to-connect) fitting and dummy plugs.
2) Oil cooler
The STC fitting cracks and leaks oil pressure - the truck won't start when hot (Ford has an upgrade kit for the STC)
The dummy plugs wear out and leak oil pressure - truck won't start when hot - an upgrade kit is available for that too.
The Oil cooler clogs up from faulty coolant - truck overheats and eventually blows head gasket.
Truck will need a new oil cooler - the bulletproof oil cooler kit is a very expensive and may not be necessary because the coolant problem is well known and new coolants are improved. Still, plan on a new factory oil cooler and a complete coolant flush. Replace coolant with new improved coolant.

If you are still serious about this truck then review his videos to understand what you are getting into.
"PowerStroke" lends a new meaning to the word "PowerStroke" - what a headache.
