I always use Tow/Haul when carrying my TC. The transmission temp. will run 20-40 degrees cooler when using it with a load and the "grade braking" feature helps a lot on the down the mountain sections. The trans that I have is an Allison but I believe that all of the big three heavy-duty trannies have this feature now.
